Summary
Build and test embedded software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including device drivers, simulators, and integration tools using C++/Python.
We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern (Embedded Systems) to join our high-tech R&D and engineering team on a 1-year contract basis. This role offers hands-on experience developing software for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment, working alongside experienced engineers on real-world industrial systems.
Fresh graduates and candidates with limited industry experience are welcome to apply. We are looking for individuals with a strong technical foundation, curiosity to learn, and passion for software engineering.
What you will do:
- Implement machine-side software components for communicating with equipment controllers, sensors and peripheral devices.
- Develop hardware abstraction modules to standardize access to different machine interfaces and device configurations.
- Create equipment simulators and test tools for validating machine software without requiring continuous access to physical equipment.
- Perform machine integration testing, troubleshoot communication issues and document verified interface behavior.
- Support on-machine installation, configuration and functional verification.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python or Rust, with knowledge of multithreaded and event-driven software development.
- Knowledge of industrial communication, hardware interfacing, machine data acquisition or equipment-control systems.
- Strong debugging, integration-testing and technical-documentation skills.
