Software Engineer - iOS

Compensation: $70k – $130k

Qualifications * BS / MS in Computer Science or similar degree with 3+ years of relevant experience * Strong background in mobile development on iOS – deep understanding of iOS UI, frameworks, and “backend” mobile development * Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and experience teams to architect and drive a feature from concept through production * Willingness to maintain quality and upkeep of both new and existing application features * Passion for learning new technologies, domains, and challenging the status quo * Long-term ownership of public-facing applications through multiple releases * Meaningful contribution and ownership of a highly-popular, heavily downloaded app * Mobile application unit / UI testing frameworks and services * Strong background as a CS generalist * Kotlin / Android development experience Responsibilities * In your development work, and in interactions with a wide variety of teams at mozee, we will expect you to be essential in engineering design and implementation that results in a robust, usable, and secure system: from Rider, to Cloud, to Robot * Own the engineering design and implementation of major product features and enablement efforts for mozee’s user-facing iOS application * Research, utilize, and build technologies to form a scalable architecture and foundation for our application * Collaborate with teams of world-class engineers from diverse backgrounds with expertise in rider experience, backend services, autonomous driving, mapping, AI, and software infrastructure * Collaborate with our talented design and product teams on identifying and solving questions about how our users (riders) can access mozee services in the most efficient and intuitive manner * Contribute to products that impact humans and their experience in autonomous vehicle ride and work on solving problems that arise from real-life situations Requirements BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience 4+ years of professional software development experience Strong engineering skills and software fundamentals in developing on iOS Experience working with large native code bases with significant complexity A passion for building consumer applications with elegant and clean interfaces Experience developing, testing, shipping and supporting a product for hundreds of thousands of users is a plus Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional group About Mozee Mozee is on a mission to develop the first fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the ecosystem needed to bring this technology to market.
