Our Client
Our client is a well-established organisation with a significant presence in Singapore and a strong focus on digital services and technology innovation. They are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and enhance enterprise applications, while exploring AI-driven approaches to improve software development and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain enterprise backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring applications are scalable, reliable and maintainable.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and application services, connecting different systems and supporting seamless data exchange across enterprise platforms.
Manage application deployment in containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, while supporting automated build, testing and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production, investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to system performance and reliability.
Explore and implement AI-assisted software engineering practices, including the use of AI agents to automate development tasks, identify code issues, analyse operational patterns and support automated troubleshooting.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development using Spring Boot.
Strong experience in microservices architecture, RESTful API development and enterprise application integration.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, with a good understanding of containerised application deployment and management.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production environments, ideally with Jenkins, Linux and AWS, alongside troubleshooting and application support responsibilities.
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, agentic workflows or AIOps practices will be an advantage.
