Software Engineer (Java)

The Software Engineer drives software development based on design requirements and ensures software and subroutines perform to specification. The role guarantees program codes adhere to standards and delivers quality solutions that meet schedule and requirements.

What will you do?

Development & Coding

• Analyse process and program specifications and translate them into program codes
• Enforce conformance to programming guidelines and best practices
• Analyse functional requirements and translate them into application design using established methodologies
• Configuration & Change Management
• Execute changes to configurable items including hardware, software, and documentation
• Lead configuration management planning, identification, controls, and audits

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Design and develop unit test packages, execute tests, and document results to ensure quality
• Drive integration testing, system testing, UAT, and implementation activities

Issue Resolution & Maintenance

• Resolve reported problems or bugs to ensure smooth execution in production
• Investigate errors and implement amendments and testing for correct and efficient system operation

Documentation & Compliance

• Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation
• Ensure codes comply with security guidelines

Collaboration & Quality Improvement

• Collaborate with team lead to ensure design and codes conform to architecture and standards
• Participate in requirements gathering and review functional specifications
• Engage in peer reviews to elevate project quality

Essential Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in developing and delivering application software
• Relevant system development and maintenance experience using Java-related technologies
• Strong knowledge of CVE tracking and vulnerability management with hands-on experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think creatively
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel as required

Professional and/or Technical Certifications
