Senior software engineer designing, building, and supporting scalable web-based and distributed applications: hands-on Java/Kotlin/Python with Spring, deployed to AWS or Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, plus production support, prototyping, and technical reviews.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support scalable software applications and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on programming experience, a solid background in Java and Spring technologies, and practical experience with AWS or Azure and modern containerization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement scalable web-based and distributed applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and software solutions.
- Develop technical prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new technologies.
- Apply established architecture, coding, and development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business and technology initiatives.
- Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Participate in technical reviews, new product evaluations, and pilot implementations.
- Build and deploy cloud-based applications using modern DevOps and containerization practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- 5–6+ years of hands-on programming experience with Java, Kotlin, and/or Python.
- 3–4+ years of experience with AWS or Azure.
- 3–4+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience developing web-based, component-based, distributed, or multi-tier applications.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
