Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer – Java with 2–3 years of experience in Java application development.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications while ensuring high-quality code, adherence to development standards, and successful project delivery.
Experience with Angular is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable working on application maintenance and enhancement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts and Team Leads.
Translate functional specifications into technical designs and scalable application solutions.
Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
Participate in application configuration management, including software changes, documentation, and version control.
Develop unit test cases, execute testing, and document results to ensure application quality.
Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production implementation activities. I
nvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues through root cause analysis.
Ensure application security and compliance with development and security guidelines.
Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and knowledge sharing.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and application documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements and support ongoing maintenance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
2–3 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
Strong proficiency in Java and enterprise application development.
Experience with Angular is highly preferred.
Comfortable working on application maintenance, bug fixing, and enhancement projects.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, and development best practices.
Experience in unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar).
Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
