Software Engineer
Summary
Software Engineer/Prompt Engineer at RWS (hired via KOPI Recruit) in Singapore: design, build, test and deploy software and AI solutions to business requirements, collaborating with analysts and architects in agile teams. Core stack includes C#/Java/Python/JavaScript, Git, CI/CD and cloud (Azure preferred); AI/ML framework experience is a plus.
We are seeking a resourceful and technically adept Software Engineer/Prompt Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software and/or AI solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in collaborating across teams, driving agile development practices, and ensuring scalable and maintainable systems. By delivering robust solutions and adhering to RWS development standards, this role contributes directly to RWS's strategic goals of digital transformation, improved customer experience, and accelerated delivery of innovative technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES (JOB REQUIREMENTS)1Solution Design & Development
2Design and develop high-quality software and/or AI solutions to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.
3Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing requirements, problem definitions, and proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business goals.
4Study information needs and system workflows by collaborating with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to design effective software solutions.
1Testing & Deployment
2Test and deploy software systems by preparing system specifications and adhering to design standards to ensure reliable and scalable solutions.
3Prepare deployment plans and execute releases to deliver functional systems that meet performance expectations.
1Documentation & Demonstration
2Document solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and code comments to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
3Demonstrate developed solutions to stakeholders to validate functionality and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
1Collaboration & Agile Practices
2Collaborate across teams and functions to ensure the viability and integration of software designs within the broader system architecture.
3Drive agile development practices to ensure timely delivery of features and responsiveness to changing requirements.
4Follow RWS software development lifecycle and coding standards to maintain consistency and quality across projects.

2Investigate problem areas within systems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that enhance system reliability and user satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/JOB QUALIFICATIONSTechnical Skills
Strong proficiency in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript or similar languages.
Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure is preferred).
Proficient in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain) preferred.
Leadership & Communication
Proven experience leading or working with software development teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Demonstrated software development experience (>5 years - Senior, 2-3 years Mid level) and >2 years experience for Team Lead role
