Software Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains scalable back-end services and APIs in Java/Node.js, using AWS serverless tools and SQL/NoSQL databases to support US-focused products.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our high-impact engineering team, which is focused on the US market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.
Responsibilities:
- Support tech requests from different teams that are part of the company (product, ads, ops, data, cc/call center)
- Develop quality software and web applications
- Analyze and maintain existing software applications
- Design highly scalable, testable code
- Discover and fix programming bugs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Development experience with programming languages
- SQL database or relational database skills
- Experience with AWS services common to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM)
- Experience building REST APIs and other back-ends in the Java & Node.js runtimes
- Experience with SQL (Postgres, MariaDB), NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB), Data Warehouse (Redshift)
- Experience with Networking, Firewalls, Routing
- Experience working within a distributed team and project management in GitHub
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of CPaaS
- Knowledge of AI / STT (speech to text) / TTS (text to speech)
