In this role you will advance Liferay’s core web content, asset management, and digital repository capabilities within an open-source, globally distributed product team. You will design, implement, and evolve features for the Liferay Platform, collaborating with UX and Product to deliver scalable solutions used by thousands of developers and customers. You’ll write high-quality code, manage technical debt, and participate in peer reviews to drive continuous improvement. This position offers growth in a mission-driven, engineering-first culture that values transparency and cross-functional collaboration.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Design and implement new features and frameworks for the Liferay Platform and other Liferay products
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and manage technical debt
• Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers to deliver the shared vision
• Participate in peer review processes and contribute to team learning
• Use Git and GitHub daily (branches, merges, PRs, rebases)
• Work on long-term software product foundations and iterative improvements
Responsabilidades
• +3 years of software engineering experience
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong knowledge of agile development
• Proficiency in Java, Freemarker, SQL
• Proficient with Git (DVCS) and branching patterns
• Experience xqbhyrx writing enterprise-level code in one or more programming languages
• Strong learning ability and adaptability
• Proficient in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• Good communication skills
