Software Engineer (Linkerd) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer (Linkerd), you will implement and manage Linkerd to provide a lightweight and high-performance service mesh for microservices environments. You will focus on optimizing Kubernetes networking, ensuring secure and reliable communication between services while maintaining system simplicity.

What You'll Do:

- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linkerd service mesh across Kubernetes clusters.
- Optimize network performance and latency for microservices using Rust-based proxies.
- Implement mutual TLS (mTLS) and observability features to enhance service-to-service security and visibility.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues within the service mesh and containerized environments.
- Collaborate with platform and development teams to integrate Linkerd into existing CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Contribute to the Linkerd open-source community or internal tooling to extend mesh capabilities.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing Linkerd service mesh across Kubernetes clusters.
- Advanced proficiency in Rust for optimizing network performance and proxies.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, mTLS, and observability features.
- Experience integrating service mesh into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
