Software Engineer – Localization Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve localization tools, workflows, and automation.
- Build integrations between TMS, content repositories, product systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement technical improvements.
- Provide technical guidance on localization tooling and implementation.
- Contribute to shared localization tools and engineering standards.
- Support localization quality and technical requirements across assigned products.
- Work with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with localization tools or Translation Management Systems (TMS), such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience developing or improving automation frameworks.
- Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating localization workflows with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with automated linguistic QA and validation tools.
- Experience developing APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
- Exposure to AI-driven translation or localization workflow automation.
