Software Engineer Localization Engineering

Summary

Builds and optimizes tools/automation for global content localization, integrating systems like TMS and CI/CD pipelines to streamline translation workflows and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and improve localization tools, workflows, and automation. Build integrations between TMS, content repositories, product systems, and CI/CD pipelines. Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing. Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement technical improvements. Provide technical guidance on localization tooling and implementation. Contribute to shared localization tools and engineering standards. Support localization quality and technical requirements across assigned products. Work with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve processes. Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience. Hands-on experience with localization tools or Translation Management Systems (TMS), such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms. Understanding of localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms. Experience developing or improving automation frameworks. Strong backend development and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating localization workflows with CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with automated linguistic QA and validation tools. Experience developing APIs, microservices, and system integrations. Exposure to AI-driven translation or localization workflow automation. EA Number: 11C4879
