Engineering manager to lead a 5-10 person multidisciplinary software team at a well-established aviation business undergoing a technology transformation, based in Dublin (hybrid, 2-3 days in office). Core stack is Java and AWS; the role covers planning, delegation, hiring and stakeholder management. Offered as a 12-month contract (~500/day) or permanent (100k+).

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer Lead / manager to guide a team from 5-10 people to build innovatively and continuously improve our customer's ways of working.
We are looking for people with the below experience:
- Experience leading a high performing, large team of engineers
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder management skills
- Come from a software engineering background with knowledge and experience in Java and other java related technologies
- Strong experience in AWS Cloud environment
- Excellent technical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
In the role you can expect to be responsible for:
- Leading of a multi-disciplinary software development team
- Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team
- Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly and monthly goals
- Liaising with team members, management and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard
- Hiring, building and growing strong teams
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments
- Updating work schedules and performing troubleshooting as required
- Motivating staff and creating a space where they can excel
- Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures and successes
