Software Engineer (MERN)

FiveRivers Technologies is looking for a Full Stack Developer with 1–2 years of professional experience to develop, maintain, and deliver end-to-end features for client products. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
  

• Take ownership of assigned tasks from requirement analysis to deployment.
  

• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  

• Integrate third-party APIs and services as required.
  

• Communicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions effectively.
  

• Manage tasks independently and ensure timely delivery.
  

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional full-stack development experience.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Next.js, and Node.js.
  

• Working knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or MongoDB.
  

• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, including queries, mutations, schemas, and resolvers.
  

• Familiarity with Git and standard software development workflows.
  

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Vercel and basic CI/CD practices.
  

• Familiarity with Docker.
  

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into applications.
  

• Competitive programming experience or a GitHub portfolio showcasing personal projects.
