ML software engineer on Google's Search Ads Creatives team, building scalable, low-latency GenAI infrastructure that automates ad creative generation using models like Gemini. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
In this role, you will be part of Search Ads and Ads on Google Experiences, creating useful ads that address user needs, complete tasks, and deliver meaningful ROI for advertisers. You will partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, Buyside Platform, and Policy teams. Ad Creatives sits at the heart of this experience, driving automation and transforming our product for an AI-first world.
You will help compose ads meeting user and advertiser needs. GenAI accelerates building and shipping products that automate generating and composing 'high quality' assets and monetizing new AI surfaces.

- Work in an environment that embraces automation of ad creation while keeping a strict oversight of advertiser constraints and Return on Investment (ROI).
- Drive 10x product adoption and creative thinking on “finding” or building the right quality, extraction, data models and data-driven execution.
- Build scalable end-to-end infrastructure that can serve under tight latency and freshness constraints.
- Collaborate closely with organization partners and tech stack (e.g. prediction, auction, data flow), and key stakeholders to help identify the right solution, while taking on TL responsibilities such as setting the roadmap, goal, and cross-team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Refine user and advertiser experiences to find one that meets their needs.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, data structures, and algorithms.
- 8 years of experience with ML/AI algorithms, tools, deep learning, or other AI/ML modeling.
- 8 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 5 years with software design and architecture.
- 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine-tuning).
- 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, multimodal, large vision models) or GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- Experience in GenAI related model fine tuning, large language models building or product enablement exploration.
- Experience in successfully applying GenAI and machine learning approaches to real-world content problems.
- Deep familiarity with Search/Ads infrastructure, auction mechanics, or generative AI models.
- Excellent programming skills leveraging GenAI tools.
- Strong mathematical skills with knowledge of statistical methods.
