Summary
Software Engineer developing back-end components and services with NodeJS, JavaScript, Kafka, microservices, and AWS, handling full software lifecycle (dev, test, deploy, maintain) and optimizing for security, scalability, speed.
You produce software, design services, and implement distributed systems. You develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve your code throughout its full life cycle. You build back-end components and services using JavaScript, Kafka, microservices, and AWS. You maintain a well-tested codebase, optimize security, scalability, and speed, work in autonomous teams, and share knowledge to improve best practices.
Responsibilities
- Produce software, service designs, and implementations for distributed systems
- Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve code throughout its full life cycle
- Develop back-end components and services
- Develop applications using JavaScript, Kafka, microservices, and AWS
- Maintain a well-tested codebase with continuous integration and coverage reporting
- Optimize systems for security, scalability, and speed
- Work in small, autonomous teams
- Share knowledge and help evolve best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with NodeJS
- Knowledge of an additional object-oriented language such as C# or Java
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Understanding of modern cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Understanding of microservice architecture
- Experience with crypto-economic protocol design including governance and incentive structures
- Experience building systems for financial markets
- Experience with event streaming platforms and messaging brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Amazon SQS
