Software Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain software on the Zoho platform (Deluge scripting, Creator, CRM), integrating with Node.js/Python backends and external services via REST APIs and webhooks, while handling full-stack tasks from database schema design to UI development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a 4-year (degree) course in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or any IT related courses.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 1 year specifically focused on the Zoho platform.
- Proven track record of deploying low-code/no-code solutions that integrate with traditional custom-coded backends.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business workflows into technical requirements.
Key skills:
- a. Mastery of Deluge Scripting, Zoho CRM Blueprints, Zoho Creator Form/Report Actions.
- b. Proficiency in JavaScript (for Widgets), and familiarity with Node.js or Python.
- c. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and Webhook handling.
- d. Solid knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS) and SQL logic.
- e. Experience with Figma (for UI prototyping) and project management tools like ClickUp/Jira.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Proficient in Programming, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, PHP, and SQL.
Essential Job Functions:
- 1. Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance;
- 2. Write complex Deluge scripts for automation, custom functions, and scheduled tasks;
- 3. Develop and maintain REST API integrations and Webhooks between Zoho and external tech stacks (e.g., Node.js/Python backends, AWS, and SMS Gateways);
- 4. Design and optimize database schemas within Zoho Creator, ensuring data integrity, proper lookup relationships, and efficient performance for high-concurrency scenarios;
- 5. Create intuitive user interfaces using Zoho’s Page Builder and develop custom Widgets using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where necessary;
- 6. Develops at all levels of the stack, from database to UI and everything in-between;
- 7. Administer user roles, profiles, and permissions, including the management of Super Admin access for internal IT personnel;
- 8. Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, Deluge scripts, and API endpoints to ensure team-wide clarity and future scalability;
- 9. Production of accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the required level of detail in the timescales as defined by the Automation Manager;
- 10. Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans;
- 11. Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live;
- 12. Production of efficient and fully documented code;
- 13. Production of supporting technical and installation documentation for internal publication;
- 14. Achievement of agreed productivity targets in order to ensure developments are delivered within budget, to schedule and to defined quality standards;
- 15. Completion of all necessary software and non-software components in the timescales as defined by the Project Manager;
- 16. Works with little day to day supervision from immediate head;
- 17. Tech Specs, Code and/or Unit Test Plans produced are all in line with the functional Specification;
- 18. Ensures all work is reviewed to ensure adherence to the relevant development standards;
- 19. Peer review and sign-off of others work;
- 20. Timely and accurate reporting of project status as required by supervisor;
- 21. Production and revision of accurate detailed estimates;
- 22. Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements;
- 23. Escalate all issues in a timely fashion;
- 24. Maintaining the systems once they are up and running;
