Software Engineer (Operation Excellence)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support business objectives and deliver a reliable user experience. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who writes clean, maintainable code, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and contributes to the continuous improvement of software systems, tools, and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and system features.

• Translate business and user requirements into technical specifications and practical software solutions.

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following agreed coding standards.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and maintainability.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects across development, testing, and production environments.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

• Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability through regular analysis and optimization.

• Support software releases, deployment activities, and post-release monitoring.

• Maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, processes, and operational procedures.

• Stay current with relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and software engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience in software development, application engineering, or a similar technical role.

• Strong programming capability in one or more languages such as Python, C#, or similar.

• Understanding of software development life cycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Experience with databases, APIs, version control systems, and modern development tools.

• Ability to analyse technical problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.

• Hands-on experience applying AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to accelerate software development, generate technical documentation, support code reviews, or improve productivity.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is added advantage

• Working Hours : 8.15am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

• Location : Changi North

• Company Bus : Pick up at Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Hougang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Tampines MRT/Interchanges
