Software Engineer

At Pretius, we are looking for a Software Engineer to a project in the financial industry, Forward Deployed Engineering team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to transform complex business and tax challenges into practical, high-impact software solutions.

Project / Role

• Design, build, and deliver full-stack applications, workflows, APIs, and integrations that solve complex client challenges.

• Translate evolving business requirements into practical technical solutions, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and agentic development frameworks to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver high-quality software.

• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features, MCP servers, and AI-enabled workflows that connect enterprise data and business applications.

• Define solution architecture, make pragmatic technology and build-vs-buy decisions, and promote reusable engineering patterns across engagements.

• Demonstrate solutions frequently, gather stakeholder feedback, and continuously improve delivered applications.

• Ensure software quality, maintainability, security, and readiness for successful handover or retirement after project completion.

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and day-to-day collaboration.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering or Full-Stack Development.

• Strong experience designing and building modern full-stack applications, REST APIs, and system integrations.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions.

• Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, MCP server architectures, and modern agentic development frameworks.

• Strong software architecture skills, with the ability to make practical technology and build-vs-buy decisions in fast-paced environments.

• Proven ability to work effectively with ambiguous requirements, rapidly prototype solutions, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.

• Experience mentoring other engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

• Understanding of responsible AI principles, secure software development, and data handling best practices.

• Proficiency in English.
