Software Engineer - Product Engineering

Work directly on Para’s primary web products and developer-facing Web SDKs. Build performant, intuitive web experiences; maintain frontend systems with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React; implement accessible UI components; improve developer experience; collaborate across engineering and design; and contribute to web platform architecture and technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and contribute to Web SDKs and core web product experiences
• Build and maintain frontend systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Implement UI components from design mocks
• Improve performance, accessibility, and user experience
• Improve developer experience for teams building on Para
• Collaborate with backend engineers, infrastructure teams, and design
• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions impacting the web platform
• Operate autonomously and maintain accountability

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production web applications
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong proficiency in React
• Experience building and maintaining reusable component systems, SDKs, or frontend infrastructure
• Deep understanding of modern web architecture, performance optimization, and frontend tooling
• Experience integrating with backend systems and APIs
• Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion independently
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering disciplines and with design
• Good product intuition and focus on delivering user and developer value
• Desire to work in a startup environment and comfort with ambiguity
• Experience building developer tools, SDKs, or API-driven platforms
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and tooling
• Familiarity with Node.js backend systems
• Web3 or blockchain experience or familiarity with crypto products
• Previous startup experience
