Software Engineer
About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable software systems supporting XDOF's robotics and AI operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, robotics, data, and operations, to develop software solutions, improve system performance, and support data-driven robotic applications.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
Develop backend services, APIs, and internal tools to support robotics and AI-related workflows.
Build and maintain data processing pipelines and software systems used for robotic data collection and management.
Develop and integrate software components with existing systems and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and system reliability.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and reusable code.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.
Collaborate with Robotics, Data, and Operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
Participate in system design, technical discussions, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java or other relevant programming languages.
Experience developing software applications, backend systems, APIs, or similar software solutions.
Good understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
Experience with Git/version control and standard software development workflows.
Understanding of REST API and system integration.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and willingness to work cross-functionally.
