Summary
A hands-on Python engineer builds and maintains components of a financial market-data platform: designing ETL pipelines, data lakes/lakehouses and distributed microservices, while improving infrastructure, CI/CD and observability. Core stack is Python and SQL with relational, NoSQL and columnar databases.
In this role you will design and build components for a modern data platform using Python, with ownership across data engineering, ETL, and distributed systems. You’ll improve infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability while maintaining reliable, high-performance services. You’ll work in a small, collaborative team on end-to-end development and operations, shaping a data-driven platform for financial data. This is a hands-on position with meaningful impact and opportunities for growth and bonus potential.

- Design and build data platform components using Python
- Develop and optimise ETL pipelines, Data Lakes/Lakehouses and distributed systems
- Improve infrastructure, observability and CI/CD practices

- Strong backend development experience with Python
- Experience with financial or market data
