Software Engineer

Location: Jurong/Thomson (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Renewable basis)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services, APIs and modern web applications.
• Build frontend applications using frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue or Angular.
• Develop RESTful/GraphQL APIs, microservices, system integrations and event-driven solutions.
• Build secure data ingestion, transformation and ETL pipelines.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud-based environments.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, containerisation, observability and production support.
• Ensure applications meet security, reliability and government compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Min. 4 years of working experience in software engineering or full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go or C#.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue or Angular.
• Experience developing APIs and working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Good understanding of microservices, distributed systems and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, Docker, cloud deployment and CI/CD practices.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, problem-solving and communication skills.
