This role plays a key part in the redevelopment of a core application, helping deliver scalable product capabilities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders based in Australia. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to architecture, development, and deployment activities while helping drive product evolution and supporting long-term modernization initiatives.
- Leading the design, development, and deployment of application features and enhancements
- Collaborating closely with business analysts, quality assurance engineers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver product outcomes
- Developing and maintaining full-stack solutions using .NET technologies, web technologies, APIs, and SQL databases
- Contributing to the modernization and redevelopment of the application platform
- Implementing cloud-based and containerized solutions using cloud-native development practices
- Troubleshooting technical issues and proposing effective solutions with minimal supervision
- Communicating proactively with Australia-based stakeholders and participating in technical discussions, planning, and solution design
- At least 5 years of experience developing full-stack applications using C# .NET and .NET Core
- Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript development
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Experience designing and consuming APIs
- Experience with cloud-native development environments
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience collaborating with business analysts, quality assurance teams, and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with distributed teams
- Experience participating in technical design, development, troubleshooting, and deployment activities
- Experience working within Software-as-a-Service or enterprise software environments
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and code repository workflows
- Experience working in products that are transitioning from on-premises environments to cloud-based architectures
- Exposure to AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience supporting public sector or local government software solutions
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed international development teams
