Software Engineer, Senior (Python)

Summary

Senior Python Automation Engineer at Infor building and maintaining ETL workflows, data pipelines, and scalable automation frameworks using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for enterprise applications.

We are seeking a skilled Python Automation Engineer with a focus on analytics and data warehousing. Expertise lies in developing and maintaining automated processes, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) workflows, as well as creating robust and scalable data pipelines.

  • Design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, UX Design, and QA to deliver business-critical features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives around software performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers through knowledge sharing and code collaboration.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential adoption.
  • Champion Infor’s values of speed, innovation, and collaboration.

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
  • Experience building scalable automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Experience with Git and version control.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python.
  • Automate business processes, system administration tasks, data processing, and report generation.
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities.
  • Build automation for web applications, desktop applications, and command-line utilities.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows for business operations.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize automation scripts for reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and application teams to identify automation opportunities.
  • Implement logging, exception handling, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
· Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for automation.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

  • Experience in software development, ideally within SaaS or enterprise applications.
  • Experience in (programming languages relevant to the product stack — e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Experience of cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and I am constantly expanding my knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
