Summary
Senior software engineer in Singapore building and supporting applications for a general insurance business, working with ReactJS and Spring Boot front and back ends, Oracle/MS SQL databases and AWS, while also handling L2/L3 production support within SLAs. Requires 6-10 years of development or post-production support and English/Mandarin.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• You will work with GI delivery manager to develop and implement applications to support Business needs.
• Liaise with the infrastructure support and development teams.
• Support L2/L3 day-to-day operations, addressing tickets, incidents and support requests and ensure incidents and problems are managed within set SLAs
• Ensure adherence of development practice (Waterfall and Agile), standards and updated documentation
REQUIREMENTS • Good knowledge on front-end frameworks such as ReactJS and back-end frameworks such as Spring boot. • Able to contribute individually and collaborate well with cross-functional team. • Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. • Hands-on experience in Linux, Unix is an added advantage. • Experience in working with vendors to resolve complex technical issues is an added advantage. • Proactive individual who takes ownership and drives tasks through to completion.
JOB SPECIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES Diploma/Degree holder in Information Technology, Info Systems or equivalent. Comfortable in speaking both English and Mandarin. • Between 6 – 10 years of Application Development or Post-production support experiences. • Experience with infrastructure setup such as firewall. • Prior experience in a managerial or team leadership role is an advantage
PROFESSIONAL / TRADE QUALIFICATION Certified Java Developer is an advantage.Any Cloud certification is an advantage.
