Software Engineer (Singaporean Only )(Node.js, React.js and Java)
Summary
Designs, builds, and maintains enterprise web applications end to end using Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, and Java — including database design (MongoDB, IBM DB2, SQL Server), REST API and system integration, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and 24x7 production support. On-site in Singapore's Central Region, open only to Singaporeans.
About the role
This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise web applications using technologies such as Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, and Java. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, including database design, API development, system integration, requirements analysis, UI/UX design, testing, production support, and DevSecOps practices.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, and Java
Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable application components following industry best practices
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software quality requirements
Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using both NoSQL and relational database technologies including MongoDB, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integration interfaces with external systems
Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues involving upstream and downstream systems
Conduct requirement gathering and clarification sessions with customers and stakeholders
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Provide support for live production systems, including incident investigation and troubleshooting
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes
About you
Proficient in Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, and Java
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
Experience with relational databases such as IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience in API development and system integration
Experience in requirement gathering, business analysis, and documentation
Experience producing functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience performing root cause analysis and production issue resolution
Experience supporting mission-critical or 24x7 operational systems
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
