Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer designs, develops, modifies, and maintains internal business applications according to company requirements. This role involves developing new software modules, functions, forms, reports, dashboards, and workflows, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing company systems including ERP, MES, warehouse, production, engineering, quality, purchasing, HR, attendance, finance, quotation, and reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain internal business applications according to company requirements

• Develop new software modules, functions, forms, reports, dashboards, workflows, and system enhancements

• Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies

• Develop and maintain applications that use MySQL databases, including creating, modifying, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries

• Develop and maintain systems supporting manufacturing and operational processes such as ERP, MES, production, engineering, warehouse, inventory, and purchasing

• Develop and maintain integrations between company systems, including APIs, web services, and database integrations

• Investigate software bugs, reproduce problems, determine root causes, and correct software defects

• Monitor and improve application performance, including investigating slow pages, queries, and application bottlenecks

• Test newly developed features and perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing

• Assist with software deployment to development, testing, staging, and production environments

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems

• Knowledge of programming and software development principles

• Experience or knowledge of ASP.NET and VB.NET

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application development

• Knowledge of MySQL and SQL, with ability to create and troubleshoot SQL queries

• Understanding of relational database concepts and application architecture

• Ability to debug and troubleshoot software problems and understand existing source code

• Strong logical and analytical thinking with ability to investigate complicated software problems systematically

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users

• Able to work independently and as part of a software development team, with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies
