Position Summary:
KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly capable engineering Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Dayton, Ohio or Los Angeles (Remote). This role supports the ABMS Program Office by serving as an architect and engineering leader supporting a wide range of areas within the Digital Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering: Lead network architect and engineering requirements and ensure all requirements are met
- Operational Oversight: Manage cross functional teams and ensure various areas in the PMO are delivering over various tactical environments.
- Tactical Ownership: Own architectural and other requirements and lead in areas to ensure prototype development meets mission objectives and partner needs.
- Technical Evaluations / Trade Space: Own the area technical evaluations are required and lead efforts to translate outcomes to meet mission partner needs.
- Gap Analysis & Risk Identification: Conduct assessments of network operations, architectural efforts, and capabilities to proactively identify gaps, blind spots, or emerging operational risks; recommend and lead mitigation strategies in collaboration with customer.
- Leadership: Lead all other areas as needed or directed by the customer, to include working groups, action/technical teams, interface needs, cyber needs, architectural / cloud / node / interface / connectivity / and other areas
Work Environment:
- Location: Remote
- Travel Requirements: 0-35%
- Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 - 1500
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in cyber, cloud, tactical environments
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, systems, and stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility
Desired:
- Advanced Degree or Certification: Master’s degree in Cyberspace Operations
- DoD Acquisition Experience: Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and documentation.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Process Improvement: Ability to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
- Leadership Experience: Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a government or defense setting.
