Solidigm is seeking a motivated Software Engineer – Full Stack Development to design, develop, debug, and maintain complex distributed full-stack applications. We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Software Engineer – Full Stack Development to join our software development team. In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining complex distributed full-stack applications.
The ideal candidate has strong programming fundamentals, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced engineering environment. This role requires strong communication skills, technical ownership, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional hardware and software product development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex distributed full-stack software applications.
- Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Debug issues in existing code and provide timely, high-quality resolutions.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
- Work with distributed applications, microservices, databases, and cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, validation, and product engineering teams.
- Contribute to Agile/SCRUM development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support CI/CD workflows and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Clearly articulate technical issues, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide high-level summaries and status updates on assigned development activities.
- Deliver high-quality results in a timely manner while working effectively in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Angular, Kotlin, JavaScript, SQL, and Go.
- Knowledge of REST API design and development.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and SCRUM methodology.
- Familiarity with source control management tools, especially Git.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and databases.
- Familiarity with software design and development for both Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with distributed applications and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with databases such as Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization concepts and tools such as VMs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience or familiarity with CI/CD workflow management tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and provide concise summaries.
- Strong teamwork, planning, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Passion for programming and solving complex technical challenges.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Knowledge of AI concepts and their application in software development.
- Experience working in systems-level hardware/software product development teams.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/K8s.
- Experience developing cloud-native, distributed, or scalable software systems.
- Interest in using distributed computing to solve complex problems.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. The compensation range for this role is $102,720 - $151,600. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
This is a hybrid role reporting out of Rancho Cordova, California on an average of 3 days per week.
