Software Engineer

Summary

Develops software using C++, C#, or similar OOP languages, following SDLC and OOD principles, with scripting and version control experience.

Salary: £39,000 - 70,500 per year

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, or similar high-level object-oriented languages
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
  • Familiarity with version control systems and version control software
  • Competency with one or more Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
  • Experience with Windows operating systems
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with team leaders, team members, and other department representatives
Responsibilities:
  • Develop new product features based on detailed functional specifications
  • Analyze requirements to propose technical solutions
  • Design software with necessary documentation updates
  • Implement code in line with established standards
  • Test changes before handing over to QA
  • Quickly address and resolve defects reported by internal teams or customers
  • Produce high-quality code on schedule and within budget
  • Follow departmental procedures and technical guidance from senior staff
  • Provide estimates for task completion and report progress as requested
  • Identify and communicate any issues or risks that might impact deadlines
