Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software using C++
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Apply object-oriented programming and sound software design principles
- Analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues
- Optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Develop and maintain software documentation
- Perform software testing and support verification and validation activities
- Collaborate with developers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and practices
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in C++ development
- Strong hands-on experience with C++
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles
- Experience developing and maintaining complex software applications
- Good understanding of software architecture and design
- Experience with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments is relevant
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
