Software Engineer

Compensation: $90k – $140k • No equity

About Stranta Digital Stranta Digital is a distributed software engineering team building modern web applications, SaaS platforms, backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, dashboards, automation solutions, and AI-enabled features. We are seeking a reliable Full-Stack Software Engineer to work directly with our engineering team on paid software development assignments. This is a remote contract position with the possibility of continued work across additional projects based on performance, technical fit, availability, and project demand. **What You Will Do** * Build and maintain full-stack web applications * Develop responsive frontend features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web technologies * Build backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, Python, FastAPI, or similar frameworks * Design and work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other databases * Integrate authentication systems, third-party APIs, cloud services, and external platforms * Review existing codebases and implement new modules and features * Diagnose and resolve application, API, database, and deployment issues * Write clean, maintainable, tested, and documented code * Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions * Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and delivery estimates clearly * Collaborate with a distributed engineering team during agreed overlap hours **Required Experience** * At least 3 years of professional full-stack software development experience * Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript * Professional experience with React or Next.js * Backend experience with Node.js, Python, FastAPI, Express, NestJS, Django, or comparable technologies * Experience designing and consuming REST APIs * Experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL * Comfortable using Git and GitHub in a team environment * Ability to take ownership of assigned features from planning through deployment * Strong written communication and dependable availability * Ability to provide examples of software that you personally helped build **Preferred Experience** * Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful: * SaaS platforms * Administrative dashboards * Internal business applications * API integrations * Cloud infrastructure * Docker and CI/CD * AWS, Azure, GCP, or Vercel * AI integrations using OpenAI or other language-model APIs * Workflow automation * Maintaining and extending existing production applications Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a technical and project-fit discussion.
