Software Engineer - Test Automation

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Test Automation with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing. The role is purely focused on test automation activities, with a strong emphasis on Playwright and TypeScript. The candidate must have strong experience and exposure to testing web applications built using Node.js and React.js.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript
  • Perform end-to-end, functional, and regression automation testing
  • Work closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and testing needs
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for applications developed using Node.js and React.js
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects across the testing lifecycle
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and testing utilities
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
  • Adhere to quality standards, compliance requirements, and banking regulations

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Test Automation Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript (mandatory)
  • Experience testing applications built on Node.js and React.js
  • Mandatory banking domain expertise
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and QA best practices
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Good to Have

  • Experience with Selenium (Java)
  • Knowledge of Finacle or other core banking platforms
  • Exposure to API testing and performance testing tools
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
