Overview
The Fintown is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Istanbul. As a Software Engineer, you'll work on developing and enhancing our financial platform's core features that help users manage their finances more effectively. This is an opportunity to be part of our global engineering team working on a product used by customers worldwide.
You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build intuitive, reliable, and high-performance features. You'll have the chance to work with modern technologies including React, TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud infrastructure while contributing to our mission of simplifying financial complexity for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for our financial platform
- Build responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Develop backend APIs and services using Node.js
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Debug and fix issues in production systems
- Optimize application performance and reliability
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
- Experience with Node.js and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databasesUnderstanding of software development best practices
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Nice to Have
- Experience with fintech or financial services applications
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience with data visualization libraries
