Software Engineer

Work with a nimble engineering team to build and scale backend services, maintain developer SDKs in web3, and innovate on blockchain protocols, architecture, developer experience, and critical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and innovate on open source SDKs and blockchain protocols
• Scale backend services and infrastructure that interface with the blockchain
• Collaborate with product and design teams to solve customer challenges, plan features, and iterate from lessons learned
• Communicate with customers to assist with integrating thirdweb into their applications or platforms
• Write documentation associated with developer-facing functions or APIs

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience on a software development team for a product-focused web application
• Experience and interest in blockchain development
• Ability to take on complex, large-scale technical projects end-to-end in a team setting
• Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, or Node.js
• Experience scaling backend services and infrastructure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
• Curiosity and appetite for learning beyond direct expertise
• Self-starter capable of proposing and implementing solutions to ambiguous business problems
• Ability to make calculated tradeoffs for customer and business needs
• Bonus: experience with developer-first products, SDKs, API design, technical documentation, wallets, smart contracts, or EVM technologies
