Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and support production systems and applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, ensuring issues are proactively identified and resolved.
- Develop and maintain operational monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions.
- Participate in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required.
- Troubleshoot incidents and implement improvements to system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system architecture and operational processes.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for production environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality and professional standards.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years' experience, or equivalent industry experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Operations Support, DevOps, or Application Support.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing Linux-based environments.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, automation, and container technologies.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and infrastructure as code.
Desirable Technologies
- Python, Shell, Java, or Go.
- Git (GitHub/GitLab).
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
- Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Redis, and related monitoring tools.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, models, or agent-based technologies.
