What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain VB6 and VB.NET applications for production.
- Improve production efficiency, system reliability and downtime.
- Troubleshoot software and production line issues.
- Analyze system problems and identify root causes.
- Work with Production, Engineering, QA and IT teams.
- Prepare software documentation and troubleshooting guides.
- Support integration with equipment, servers and databases.
- Arrange daily tasks and support schedules for subordinates.
- Support department KPI and MBO objectives.
- Identify training needs and support team development.
- Ensure new models run smoothly from trial production to mass production.
- Lead subordinates in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Create and modify production software.
- Carry out Front Loading activities for the assigned section.
- Support designers on modifications and design changes.

Ideal Candidates
- Practical experience in software engineering or development experience
- Experience in software troubleshooting, debugging and error analysis
- Knowledge of VB6 and VB.NET is an added advantage
- Familiar with software design, testing and documentation
- Knowledge of equipment and system integration is an advantage
- Good programming, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Willing to travel when required
