As a Professional / Mid-Level Software Engineer, you’ll join a cross-disciplinary product team responsible for building and evolving modern web platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on TypeScript and C#/.NET, working across the services, APIs, integrations and application architecture that power modern websites and digital products.
You’ll contribute production code, collaborate closely with experienced engineers and help deliver accessible, secure, observable, performant and maintainable software.
Our teams build distributed, composable web applications using technologies including: TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, React and cloud services, predominantly within Microsoft Azure. You don’t need to be a specialist in every part of the stack, but you should be comfortable understanding how the pieces of a modern web platform fit together - from browser and application code through APIs, integrations and the cloud infrastructure they run on.
You’ll work alongside other engineers, designers, delivery managers and client stakeholders, supported by experienced engineers while continuing to develop your technical skills, engineering judgement and understanding of modern software delivery practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and evolve modern, cloud-hosted web platforms using TypeScript and C#/.NET.

- Work across the web stack, contributing where appropriate to TypeScript and React applications as well as the services behind them.
- Integrate technologies such as headless CMS, search, personalisation, analytics and other composable platform services.

- Work with cloud infrastructure and services such as application hosting, serverless functions, storage, networking, monitoring and secrets/configuration.
- Contribute to engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability and documentation.
- Contribute to cloud-native applications using modern DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Help ensure platforms are accessible, performant, secure, resilient, observable and operationally supportable in production.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, delivery managers, strategists and client stakeholders as part of a cross-disciplinary product team.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop your technical capability and contribute to technical discussions, implementation decisions and architectural thinking.
- Contribute to the wider engineering discipline at Code by sharing knowledge, learning from others and helping improve how we build and deliver technology.
