The Qualifications We Seek

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field

Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar software development role
• More than 3 years of production experience in Ruby on Rails 4/5 development
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, or React
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and database systems, including PostgreSQL and SQL
• Knowledge of testing frameworks, including RSpec and Jest
• Familiarity with Sidekiq, Bootstrap, and Git version control
• Experience with enterprise software design and system integration
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
• Strong self-motivation and ability to thrive in remote, agile environments

Your Daily Tasks

• Build new features from the product roadmap using efficient Ruby code and proven design patterns
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases to improve reliability and scalability
• Develop REST API integrations and third-party software connections
• Design and implement enterprise-scale software solutions aligned with business objectives
• Review requirements, data models, and system architecture to support responsible code delivery
• Write high-quality, well-documented code and complete testing before launch
• Perform unit and integration tests to maintain system performance and functionality
• Participate in design and code reviews to uphold engineering excellence
• Evaluate and apply modern development tools and practices to support continuous innovation
• Perform other duties as assigned
