Software Engineer - X Data Engineering

You will build and operate production data pipelines, datasets, and internal data products. You will improve data correctness, create workflow tooling, investigate metric changes, and work across analytics, streaming, batch, and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Create shared datasets, fact tables, and internal data products.
• Build tooling for backfills, dashboards, report generation, and self-service data access.
• Own end-to-end data correctness and lead root-cause investigations.
• Select and use query engines and frameworks for analytics, streaming, and batch processing.
• Identify data gaps and prioritize data-acquisition improvements.
• Deliver efficient, accurate, and reliable incremental solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in data engineering or distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python, Rust, Scala, Go, or Java.
• Knowledge of data-pipeline tooling and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Flink, SQL, relational databases, NoSQL, and storage systems.
• Experience solving large-scale problems.
• Experience translating product requirements into engineering implementation plans.
• Ability to communicate with AI, product, marketing, sales, and engineering groups.
