Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineering Coordinator to lead and develop technical teams, ensuring high-quality deliveries aligned with global engineering standards and business strategy.
This position plays an essential role in building a scalable, collaborative, and results-oriented engineering organization, promoting technical excellence, delivery predictability, and continuous team evolution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the software development team, ensuring consistent, high-quality, secure, and performant deliveries.
- Develop and track the professional growth of team members through mentoring, continuous feedback, and development plans.
- Integrate new engineers into existing teams, promoting alignment with global processes, standards, and routines.
- Establish predictability in deliveries by tracking engineering, quality, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Promote best practices in development, automated testing, versioning, and continuous integration.
- Coordinate the development of new features and the maintenance of existing systems.
- Support and participate in architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and adherence to corporate standards.
- Foster a culture of collaboration across regions (especially with global stakeholders), ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
- Act on the continuous improvement of development processes, contributing to technical maturity, governance, and operational excellence.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Support team expansion initiatives, onboarding, role definition, and organizational evolution.
What we expect from you
Leadership experience
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams, preferably in distributed or global environments.
- Ability to develop people, create engagement, and promote accountability.
- Experience in team structuring, onboarding, and organizational evolution.
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and metrics-oriented settings.
Solid technical foundations
- Previous experience as a software developer.
- Strong experience with backend and frontend development, preferably Java and Angular.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Cloud services, especially AWS.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and pipeline automation.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of modern engineering practices:
- Automated testing
- Observability
- CI/CD
- Architectural decision-making
- Security and compliance practices
