Skyworks' Software Engineering, SWR Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Role Description:

Skyworks' Software R&D team is seeking a talented Software Engineering Intern. The ideal candidate chosen for this role will work closely with mentors developing Design Automation and High-Performance Computing applications. The candidate will use Python, REST APIs, and SQL in conjunction with existing Software and APIs.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

Responsibilities

• Creating custom Python applications
• Development of integrated GUI’s
• Software API call analysis and benchmarking
• Writing and maintaining unit tests
• Determining operational practicality
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems, or issues
• Planning and writing efficient, well-structured code following documented best practices

Required Experience and Skills

• Degree: Computer Science (College of Engineering)
• Experience with SQL databases
• Good Python/C++ programming capabilities
• Familiarity with version control utilizing Git
• Strong familiarity with the use of IDEs for development and troubleshooting
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data-structures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail oriented, and responsible team-player
