Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams while remaining actively involved in software development and technical decision-making. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader who can drive scalable system design, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor one or more software engineering teams, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance support.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to define technical roadmaps and delivery priorities.
- Participate in architecture discussions and make key technical decisions for complex systems and applications.
- Write code, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Support Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in software quality, development processes, automation, and deployment practices.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Encourage innovation and foster a collaborative, high‑performing engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Software Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar leadership role.
- Strong hands‑on experience in backend development using Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or other object‑oriented/open‑source technologies.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, or JavaScript is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern containerized application environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service‑oriented architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, procurement, or inventory systems is an advantage but not required.
