These are among the most-used features in the merchant app, powering how millions of merchants run their business on Grab every day.
Get to Know the Role
You will report to the Head of Engineering, Transaction Platform, and lead a team of 10+ engineers building the reliable, scalable systems that merchants depend on for their daily transactions. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, mentoring engineers while helping shape the technical direction of the platform. This role is based onsite in Singapore.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will design and implement highly reliable, scalable services for Grab's Transaction Platform systems, evaluating technology stacks to improve performance and scalability.
- You will partner with cross-functional leaders across product, design, analytics, and data science to build the product roadmap, set merchant focused metrics, and design experiments.
- You will set the engineering strategy within your team, mentor junior and senior engineers, and grow into broader technical leadership.
- You will participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
- You will participate in interview loops to help hire top engineers into the team.
