Software Engineering Manager

Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Software Developer.
- Master’s or PhD in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record in recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing engineering talent, with strong team development and mentorship skills.
- Strong background in software development with deep technical expertise.
- Well‑versed in Agile methodologies, able to coach teams and refine workflows.
- Understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- European citizenship and willingness to travel within and outside Sweden.
- Background control and security interview required.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance processes and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor new engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and trust.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high technical standards.
- Support and coach teams in Agile methodologies, helping them adopt best practices and continuously improve workflows.
- Review technical designs and solutions, staying up to date with industry trends and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
- Handle escalations and critical incidents, providing leadership and support to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Contribute to strategic planning, offering insights on technology trends, market opportunities, and product innovation to support business growth.
- Collaborate with other Software Engineering managers, Product Owners, and Architects as part of the leadership team.
