Software Engineering Manager
Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. is seeking a highly driven and innovative Software Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of software solutions that support the Company's digital transformation and business growth initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving software architecture, leading the software development lifecycle, and providing technical leadership to the Software Engineering team. You will collaborate closely with Business Units to understand system requirements, develop scalable and secure solutions, and provide continuous operational support while promoting engineering best practices and technology innovation across the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of software architecture and technical solutions that support business objectives.
Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure software applications.
Handle software and system-related requirements across all Business Units and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Develop implementation plans and oversee the deployment of new applications and system enhancements.
Provide operational support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for existing software systems.
Establish software engineering principles, development standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level software engineers.
Research emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business requirements and organizational goals.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions through root cause analysis and system optimization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, or application development.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and software engineering best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while managing technical challenges of moderate complexity.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Fresh graduates may also be considered based on qualifications and technical competency.
