Software Java Engineer

Summary

Builds and maintains cloud-native Java backend services for a global travel technology platform using Spring Boot, AWS, and microservices.

About TPConnects
TPConnects is a leading travel technology company with a rapidly growing engineering hub in Warsaw. We build software powering modern airline retailing. Every month, our platforms process millions of ticket purchases, connect airlines worldwide, and power digital retailing for airline providers. We’re a product company. We build, own and continuously improve our platform, giving engineers the opportunity to contribute to architecture, solve meaningful technical challenges and build software used across the global travel industry.

Our team includes colleagues from dozens of nationalities, making English our everyday language.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Java Engineer to help develop and evolve our cloud-native backend platform.
You’ll work on building new features while improving the scalability, performance and reliability of existing services. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving technical problems, writing high-quality code and collaborating with Product Managers, Architects and fellow Engineers to deliver software that powers global travel.

Our backend stack includes Java, Spring Boot, AWS, MySQL, DynamoDB and microservices, and we’re continuously evolving our platform as our products and customer base grow.

AI-enhanced development
We use Claude AI coding assistants as part of our everyday engineering workflow to increase productivity and reduce repetitive work. Our engineers use AI to explore technical solutions, accelerate implementation, debug complex issues, generate and improve tests, create documentation and support code reviews. We believe AI helps engineers focus on solving meaningful technical problems—not repetitive tasks.

While AI helps us move faster, great software is still built by great engineers. Engineering judgement, critical thinking and ownership remain at the core of everything we build.
