Software QA Automation Lead
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation Lead (Technical, Hands-On) to support the digitalization of patient care by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. In this role, you will take ownership of our automation testing strategy and execution across desktop and web applications, designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks while integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications
Implement best practices for automation testing, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability of test scripts
Review, optimize, and enhance existing automated test suites to improve reliability and coverage
Continuously improve automation testing processes, introducing new tools and methodologies as necessary
Execute and analyse automated tests, providing detailed reports on test results and defect tracking
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes
Manage and maintain test environments and related tools
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members as automation adoption expands
Support the team in improving overall testing practices across both manual and automated efforts
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree: in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing
QA Expertise: Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes, familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools
Automation & CI/CD:
Experience with desktop automation tools (e.g., TestComplete or equivalent)
Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Playwright or Selenium)
Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Experience with Cloud, Docker containers & DevOps pipelines is a plus
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other programming languages used for automation (e.g. Java, C#) used for test automation
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), and
defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
