Software QA Engineer - Hsinchu

●Cross-functional collaboration with Onto's SW development, SW Quality Assurance and Applications teams to validate software releases for various use-cases across Onto's major customer(s) install base.
●Work with cross-functional teams to develop test plans based on customer use-cases for new software releases through the entire SDLC process
●Develop efficient test strategies for the different sub-systems comprising the product.
●Develop and execute automated and manual tests, regression, functional, and acceptance tests
●Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate reported issues/defects
●Support full software lifecycle product development for all Onto’s Inspection Business Unit products
●Support SW and tool integration efforts in customer clean room

Qualifications:

●Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Systems engineering or related field.
●Demonstrated experience in software testing and/or Systems level testing
●Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
●Experience in scripting (Python, Perl, etc)
●Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gitlab, Artifactory, etc
●Ability to design and execute test strategies and plans based on requirements and functional designs
●Understanding of test automation frameworks
●Experience working with SQL server and database
●Experience working with SEMI-industry AOI tools a plus

●Good communication skills in English.
